STIKO manufactures high-end mechanical instrumentation, in a conjoint effort between employees, customers, and partners. Reliability, flexibility, involvement, and quality are key factors in their process.
In the early 1960's, all industrial dial thermometers were mercury-filled. This widespread mercury use posed an environmental threat, prompting the need for an alternative. Mr. A. Stiller and Mr. J.G. van der Kolk, two engineers employed in a local instrumentation manufacturer, joined forces to develop such an alternative, leading to the establishment of STIKO.
